We've rebranded! Fricks Apiaries has a new logo and website.

We are thrilled to reveal our new logo and brand identity! Scroll down to see the new look, and read some of our thoughts on the rebrand and the future of Fricks Apiaries.

Why we rebranded

Next year, Fricks Apiaries will celebrate 20 years of business thanks to our incredible customers! Since founding in 2003, Fricks Apiaries has consistently produced high quality raw honey and locally adapted North Carolina queens to the greater Triangle area and beyond. In 2016, we expanded our farm with sheep and chickens. It was a whole lot of fun but we realized that our greatest contribution to the community is our decades of beekeeping expertise and the superior quality queens we produce.

Our reputation for bees and queens grew exponentially over the last several years, and a strong local food movement supporting small family farms and ethically produced food has kept our honey in high demand. This led us to decide to re-focus the company's efforts on meeting the growing needs of the beekeeping community and our honey customers.

A recommitment to our beekeeping roots

With a re-commitment to our beekeeping roots, we knew it was time to create a new logo and brand identity that would take Fricks Apiaries into the next decade. Our goal was to create a modern brand identity that reflects our family's traditional beekeeping practices and our values of authenticity, community involvement, and environmental stewardship.

Providing high quality raw honey and queens to North Carolina customers will always be Fricks Apiaries' top priority. We currently ship queens across the United States and sell our honey at North Carolina's best farmers' markets. Our bees play an important role in pollinating crops across North Carolina.

We hope you love our new logo as much as we do! Our brand was designed to be memorable and connect with our customers, while highlighting the core values that have made Fricks Apiaries what it is today. Our new website was designed as a platform for updates that will allow easier navigation for users.

What's next for Fricks Apiaries?

Fricks Apiaries is excited to announce that we have been welcomed as new vendors this year to the Durham Farmers' Market (Saturday) and the Carrboro Farmers' Market (Wednesday)! We will also continue to participate in RambleRill Farm's Saturday Slowdown events on the first Saturday of each month. We hope to see you there! In addition to raw honey, beeswax candles, bee pollen, and lip balm, we are working on developing some exciting new honey and hive products to offer this year.

We are so grateful for all of our customers over the past 20 years, and we hope that you will continue to support us by connecting with us on social media, at the farmers' market, or at our farm in Chapel Hill, NC. The next 20 years is looking bright for Fricks Apiaries and we hope you will join us on this journey. You can keep up to date with us by following us on Facebook and Instagram.

From Chapel Hill with Love,

Guy & Ingrid Fricks
